Camino Healing

We enjoyed morning yoga outdoors on the terrace of our beautiful spa hotel, the sound of a rushing river our backdrop. We had an early breakfast and departed by bus to our starting point in Palas de Rei for the next leg and our third day on the Camino.

Our morning meeting was on the bus today and we brought our attention to the word for the day, “healing,” and how the Camino can help us take a step forward on our healing journey.

We started walking in a misting rain that gave way to clouds and sun - every aspect made it truly a beautiful day. We walked through towns and along roadsides and most notably through forested trenched paths worn deeply into the earth by countless pilgrims that have gone before us.

We walked 9 miles before lunch (and passed the halfway point of our walk), meeting in Melide for another delicious lunch prepared by our guide Jose, which included mackerel, bread, olives, pepper salad and cheese.

After lunch, we walked another 5 miles to a pub where we gathered for drinks and then departed for our hotel in Arzua, where we gathered for a group dinner,

This day held many Camino miracles for our pilgrims. And we look forward to more tomorrow!

Sono luce (I am light - and so are you!!),
